State Rep. Jaime Greene today invited residents to participate in a Homeschool Freedom Forum on Friday, Feb. 9, in Imlay City.
Greene, R-Richmond, will serve on a panel to help answer questions about the right to homeschool in Michigan and proposed changes that threaten the freedom of homeschool families.
“The new requirements Lansing Democrats have proposed are an infringement on parental rights, a breach of personal privacy, and an alarming expansion of state control,” Greene said. “We must reject such overreach and uphold the fundamental principle that parents, not bureaucrats, are best equipped to make educational decisions for their children.”
The event will take place at 4:30 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church, 6835 Weyer Road in Imlay City.
