It’s a fitting time for this ceremony as we continue to remember and honor the heroes who responded to the tragic attacks on America 23 years ago.”

Rep. Johnsen has voted in support of a plan to show support and appreciation for Blue Star Mothers of America, an organization founded in Michigan in 1942. Senate Bill 235 would designate February 1 of each year as Blue Star Mothers Day in Michigan. Johnsen co-sponsored an identical measure in the House.
