State Rep. David Martin, a U.S. Air Force veteran, was recently appointed to serve on the House Military, Veterans, and Homeland Security Committee for the remainder of the 2023-24 legislative session.

The committee is responsible for deliberating issues related to Michigan’s veterans, military members, and the protection of communities across the state.

“The men and women who serve our country in the military deserve our steadfast support,” said Martin, of Davison. “As a veteran myself, it is my duty to look out for their best interests. I’m looking forward to finding new solutions that improve life for Michigan veterans.”  

In addition to the new appointment, Martin continues to serve as vice chair of the House Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee and as a member of the Economic Development and Small Business Committee.
